The Story : Hi Readers, this blog is about a journey of discovery about a way for women to use their own unique metabolism to manage their weight issues. A metabolism that is distinctly different from men and therefore needs to be managed differently from what most weight management programs are teaching in 2016.
Well now that I've made that bold and controversial statement about women being framed and before I start describing the the information I continue to collect about this great "cover up", I'll give you my story about how I came to find out the truth about just how different women are to men and have a harder time losing weight than do men. (Well at least those that haven't "discovered" this information do).
But first I'll "come out"! ..... you see, I'm a guy ...
...... so why is a guy trying to pass this information on to women ? Please ....... please read on ...... yes I'm a guy but this IS about the ladies! ONLY the ladies! and you will read about how this subject has got a guy so interested in something to do with ladies that isn't related to that obvious interest men usually have in the opposite sex.
This story is about how I (a guy) came to be writing a Blog about women and dieting ...... about a dieting program that is STRICTLY for women ....... this does not; cannot work on men ..... it all has to do with some subtle differences in the sexes .... a bit like they discuss in that book "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" .... yes it is true; we are different in even more ways than that book discusses!
SO ON WITH THE STORY ...... a story about 3 female family members at a family gathering and how I eaves dropped their conversation about a new weight loss program they were each well into. Actually there were two of them well into it and the other one was getting very excited about what she was hearing. That excitement got louder and louder and that was what caught my attention.

So here I am at this family gathering, bored as anything. The other guys are on the patio talking about fishing .... I hate fishing ... even more boring than sitting alone at a family gathering. Besides I don't mind my own company so I don't mind being that weird guy sitting over there by the ladies reading a magazine. Yes I was flipping through a magazine about MY passion .... MOUNTAIN BIKES .... a passion I share with my 2 sons.
I'd moved inside because it is hard to concentrate on reading when there are about 6 or 7 under 10 year old's yelling and screaming around the back yard. I'm sure that was why the ladies were inside also; even their chatter couldn't drown out the little ones. Now within ear-shot of of the conversation the ladies were having I heard mutterings that included what they weren't eating and what exercise they didn't like and then something about diet. I thought to myself, "oh ! Typical", because I had noticed (out of the corner of my eye) that all 3 ladies were a little "portly". (See I told you I wasn't going to divulge anything about this relationship ... I'd be in some real trouble I'd expect if they new they were described as "portly").
Now none of these 3 lovely ladies I was eaves-dropping on was WAY overweight, but they are very attractive women and I think it can be a shame that some people prioritize something / someone else in their lives over their own well-being. And this was probably the situation with these ladies, as it is with so many people. In my opinion I follow the advice I remember reading from a past mentor in my life and that is that keeping a healthy mind and a healthy body (weight) is a number one priority as it is not possible to tackle other roadblocks in your life if you can't manage your own health. What is that saying? "If you can't look after yourself how do you think you can do a good job looking after someone else"?
Wow .... going off track here a bit am I? Still it is worth a ponder.
So I gathered that the talk was about a preoccupation with dieting .... how boring I thought ..... so I continued to (try) to concentrate on my mountain bike magazine.
Still, you know what it is like ... the more you try to "tune out" of a conversation you don't want to listen to, the more you seem to hear. And it was when I heard the word "metabolism" that I actually "tuned in" .... because that word is a word I live by. i have researched diet and exercise as a hobby / interest for decades and I have narrowed it all down to that word when it comes to keeping healthy.
I really get quite angered by the rubbish that is marketed to the general public under the guise of "health and wellness". I've read about them all! The (stupid word) Diet or The Diet That worked For (famous movie star) or whatever. They are all so ridiculous in regards to presenting a "whole of life" plan that anyone can stick to ...... a month or two down the track and it's all over and on to the next fabulous weight loss discovery.
Oops! .... a little off track again.
So now I've put down my mountain bike magazine and I'm listening. The ladies were so self immersed that they didn't notice me looking in their direction from time to time; I even managed to edge my comfy little lounge chair a little closer across the floor.
I heard talk that this program explained how metabolism was controlled by hormones in our body. (Information I knew but had not studied too deeply as I was mainly focused on the benefits of a high metabolism, even though that is actually all about hormone control). So my research has been a little shallow I thought to myself as I continued to listen. It occurred to me that I hadn't researched that side of the metabolism factor and therefore my weight management because I had never had to. I found that the exercise I enjoy doing, (mainly mountain biking), combined with knowing what to moderate in my diet, (but not eliminate), always made it easy for me to maintain "my figure". Anyhow, I digress again. I'm a guy and it is no good talking too much about what I do because APPARENTLY it won't work for you ladies.
The only similarity that I found in this discussion that I was over-hearing was that it didn't involve prepackaged crap diets, ancient secret berries, juices made of who knows what, pills, grains, NO grains ...... Oh! and no "cardio" or stupid exercise machines advertised on day time television or by movie stars or famous athletes.
Then the excitement level increased as the ladies started to talk about the incredible mother who was apparently the focus of this "discovery".

When I had the information in my IPhone I realized the conversation had changed to less interesting "girlie" stuff so ....... back to reading the magazine I went.
So at this point I think I have typing cramp and I can't say much more until I have a look on
Google; so until my next installment .... have a great day.
